With a limited amount of time to design a creative display for the Alien theme weekend, we originally had two households enter the House Decorating Contest. However, due to some rain that came through, one participant could no longer be a contender for this contest. It was decided among Women for High Bridge members and the businesses offering prizes, that we would combine the prizes and award them to the sole winner of the contest.
Our judges were very impressed with the imagination, creativity and overall display that was found at 11 Hoffman Road. This house had a full alien invasion, and we are thankful no alien abductions took place! We would like to congratulate this year’s winner, Darren Auck for not only his creative display, but for getting it done in the short timeframe given. Since all the prizes were combined, Darren will receive a $150 Shoprite Gift Card, a $30 Gift Card for Rascal Salvage, AND a $30 Gift Card for Scout’s Coffee Bar & Mercantile. Thank you, Darren for participating and embracing the alien theme for this weekend.
For those of you who did not get to see the outstanding display, pictures are provided for you. While they capture the display, seeing it in person is a much better experience.

This was such a fun weekend full of Alien themed activities. Thank you to the volunteers with Women for High Bridge in collaboration with the High Bridge Historical Committee for the showing of the classic movie E.T. Saturday night, and the Main Street Businesses for participating in the weekend’s events and sponsoring prizes for the House Decorating Contest. Thank you to the community for embracing the Alien themed weekend. We look forward to participating again next year!
CONGRATULATIONS DARREN!
